EZscan IV connects with a high-speed USB 2.0 port and can scan both sides of a form simultaneously. The scanner’s hardware and software automates form design, expedites form handling and simplifies data decoding. The scanner captures document images with command selectable at 100, 200 or 400 dpi and scans forms on a line-by-line basis up to 22 ips. Image data is available in 8-bit grayscale or bitonal (b/w) formats. Proprietary PC software decodes mark-sense data (OMR), OCR, bar code and MICR data. The mechanism is designed for an easy fit as an OEM subassembly into most terminal enclosures. Bi-directional transport permits straight through (eject rear) or reciprocating (eject front) operation…with the ability to pay Brand or cancel a paid ticket with a high-density thermal print head or ink-jet print head prior to ejecting. An advanced optical system design provides the highest quality image available by minimizing sensitivity to creases and folds which results in unparalleled accuracy and successful data decode. Handles forms in sizes ranging from 2.75” wide personal checks up to a maximum of 4.25” W. x 11.00” L. or A6-size documents. Contains document skew correction software. Scans and transmits image data at 100, 200 or 400 dpi (command selectable). Hinged transport design opens effortlessly for easy access to the document path for read head cleaning. Optional inkjet print head available for endorsing checks or other printing requirements. |
